Do You Green

by Sophie Young

des dessous so biotiful !

Sophie Young created her own company of organic clothing a few years ago,(www.doyougreen.com and www.organic-lingerie.com ), designing sexy lingerie made of white pine trees.

She, too, practices the 3 “R”. She reduces (the consumption: her clothes are made to last), recycles (thefibers of the pine trees she uses) and reuses (everything she can).

Architect in her first life, she’d always been aware of the eco thing but really startedthinking about it to the bottom when she had her first child. Her little boy beingallergenic to many things, she had no other choice than paying extremely attention towhat the food and the environment were made off.

10 years later, Sophie is what wecan call a real ecology-minded. She is full of energy and ideas: does her owncompost, has no bath-tub at home, collects the rain-water, only eats seasonvegetables and fruits.

For sending out her lingerie, she recycles cardboard boxes thatshe collects in the near-by industrial park and that she puts back into shape. However her engagement for the planet changed of level lately.

“ I came to a pointwhere, if I wanted to be coherent with my engagements, I basically couldn’t do anymove or purchase anything without feeling I was a danger in some sort for the planet. And that is because of the guilt that’s been laid on us, average citizens andculpability without education is worth nothing. It shouldn’t be up to the consumer tomake the job”True enough: you don’t take bath anymore, try not to take your car for shortdistances, and recycle your paper at home. Then what?

If the efforts are not takenover at the highest level of each country, if companies don’t have the tools to do therecycling, it is a drop into the ocean.”We don’t have time anymore to talk about it. Now it’s time to act. In fact themessage that’s been delivered since 15 years is not the correct one. It is not “savethe planet” but “save manhood”. The planet will probably survive even though itsfuture inhabitants will only be little cells that don’t need air to live. That shouldmotivate everybody, no?”The earth will not make it without our daily green actions and the education, startingwith the youngest ones, is essential. That’s why, Sophie got involved into her city hall’s life, on a non political list and sheis not the only one following this path now.“It is not only an industrial revolution but also a whole new way of life for all” adds Sophie.

Knowing that all of this can be done while wearing sexy lingerie ….Ready to go?
